Tropicana delivers positive nutrition with easy-to-drink, great tasting juices.  We never add sugar to our juices as we believe the delicious fruity taste of the juice is enough in itself. All of the flavours come purely and naturally from the fruit. For this reason, Tropicana’s juices do not come under the new UK sugar tax. The new tax only affects drinks which have had sugar added into them.

Some juice drinks/juice mixture do contain added sugar. Tropicana does not. Tropicana contains 100% fruit juice, which only contains naturally occurring sugars from the fruit. Check the nutritional labels to find out more.

100% pure orange juice is nutrient rich, so whilst it contains a similar amount of sugars per 100ml as regular sugar sweetened soft drinks, it also adds real nutritional value to the diet with nutrients such as vitamin C. It also counts as one of your 5 a day.

All sugars in Tropicana juices are naturally occurring and derived from the fruit from which the juice is made. A 150ml glass has approximately 15g of sugars from the natural fruit which is 17% of an adult’s Reference Intake (RI). Reference Intakes (RIs) are guidelines about the approximate amount of particular nutrients required for a healthy diet (they are not targets). They help understand how a particular food or drink fits within a daily diet. To help minimise the dental impact of the sugars, consume juice with meals and for children, use a straw.
